Saturday: Stop by one of our local hardware stores to pick up fresh batteries for your smoke/carbon monoxide detectors & purchase a new filter for your heater before you use it for the first time this season (saves energy and sneezes!)
You can recycle used batteries at the Johnson Canyon Landfill, True-Value Hardware store, or the Monterey County Free Library in Gonzales (never put them in the trash or recycling carts!)
Sign up your non-profit group for a fundraiser opportunity at the annual Holiday Lights Festival to be held on Saturday, December 1 (Applications can be picked up at Gonzales City Hall. Questions? contact firstname.lastname@example.org)
Compost your Jack 'O Lantern or put it in your greenwaste curbside collection cart (no paint, no lights, no candles please)
